Mumbai, Oct 19: Three people, including a minor, suspected of being involved in the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, were detained at Kota railway station in Rajasthan on Monday, Oct 19, police said.
The suspects were travelling on a Pune-Jaipur train when Kota city police detained them at the railway station. The train arrived at 10:17 am, according to officials.
Two Suspects Identified
Two of the detained suspects have been identified as Ritik, a native of Bihar, and Rehan, from Haryana. Police are working to establish the identity of the third suspect, who is reportedly a minor.
Mumbai Police shared information about the suspects with Rajasthan Police. Acting on the inputs, Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam deployed a team to the railway station. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) was also alerted.
Police personnel intercepted the three suspects in the train’s general coach and took them into custody for further investigation.
Firing Incident in Mumbai’s Juhu Area
The detention follows a firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening. According to police, three assailants opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s car, firing three rounds.
The actor escaped without injuries. However, his driver and another person were injured in the incident.
The incident triggered a police investigation to identify those involved and establish the motive behind the attack.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claim Under Verification
A video circulating on social media reportedly claimed responsibility for the firing on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, police have not yet verified the authenticity of the video.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
Police are expected to examine the suspects’ possible links to the shooting and establish their alleged roles in the incident.
