Godda, Nov 5 Two teachers of PM Shri Upgraded Plus Two High School in Jharkhand’s Godda district have been suspended on Thursday for disrupting the academic environment and instilling fear among students, said district education officer (DEO) Mithila Tuddu.

An office order issued by Godda DEO said that serious complaints were raised by students against the two teachers during an inspection of PM Shri Upgraded +2 High School, Gumma on Tuesday.

“During the inspection, students levelled serious allegations against the school’s teacher-in-charge, Rajesh Ranjan Kumar (a trained graduate teacher for Geography), and Sunil Kumar Pandit (a trained graduate teacher for History/Civics),” the order states.

The order further said that the accusations included disrupting the school’s academic and disciplinary environment, engaging in political activities, creating an atmosphere of fear among students, and subjecting them to mental and physical harassment.

“The allegations made by the students were found to be substantiated prima facie during the inspection,” the order said.

The order cites the Jharkhand Government Secondary School Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff (Appointment and Service Conditions) Rules, 2015 and the Jharkhand Government Servants (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 2016 for suspending the two teachers and placing them under departmental proceedings.

“During the suspension period, the designated headquarters for Rajesh Ranjan Kumar shall be the Upgraded High School, Kajrail (Thakurgangti block), and for Sunil Kumar Pandit it shall be the Upgraded High School, Nathgoda (Sundarpahari block). They will be entitled to a subsistence allowance in accordance with the rules,” the order said.
