Latur, Sep 22 The Latur Municipal Corporation on Tuesday disconnected 95 unauthorised water connections taken from air valves on the main water pipeline along the Harangul-Dhanegaon road.
The action was part of a drive to prevent illegal tapping of the city’s water supply network, an official said.
Officials said unauthorised tapping of water from air valves was affecting both the flow and pressure of water supplied to the city.
With Tuesday’s action, the municipal corporation has disconnected around 120 unauthorised water connections in the past week.
