Gurugram, Sep 28 Gurugram police have arrested three men in connection with a mobile snatching case and recovered the bike used in the crime along with five stolen mobile phones, police said.
On September 26, a woman lodged a complaint at Sector 40 Police Station saying that on September 25, her mobile phone was snatched by persons riding a motorcycle near South City-1, according to the police.
After a case was registered under the relevant sections, the police arrested three accused — Gobinda Das, a resident of West Bengal and Ranbir and Ranjit, both residents of Bihar — from Gurugram on September 25, they said.
All three were currently residing in Gurugram’s village Silokhra, they said.
During police interrogation, it was revealed that Gobinda Das and Ranbir committed the mobile snatchings, while the stolen phones were handed over to Ranjit, who used to sell them further, they said.
“It was also revealed that Ranbir has two previous theft cases registered in Gurugram, while Ranjit has a previous case under the Arms Act registered in Gurugram,” the police said.
