will inaugurate the Mysuru Dasara festivities this year.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, Shivakumar said he had invited the swamiji to inaugurate the festival and that the invitation had been accepted.
“I have sent an invitation to the revered Sri Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Mahaswamiji of Koppal to inaugurate the Dasara this year. I also spoke to him over the phone this morning. He has accepted our invitation,” Shivakumar said.
He also invited all members of both Houses of the state legislature to attend the Dasara celebrations scheduled to be held next month.
“The state festival Dasara is coming next month. I invite all of you to this year’s Dasara inauguration programme. Everyone should attend,” the CM said.
Mysuru Dasara which is celebrated as ‘Nada Habba’ (state festival), will be held from October 11 to 21. The inaugural event will be held on the first day.
