Shimla, Sep 22 (PTI) Four people were killed and another injured after their car plunged into a deep gorge in Kullu district early Tuesday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Gunjan, Rahul, Vikas and Bal Krishan, while the injured was identified as Suresh, all residents of Jaboo village in Kullu.
According to police, the accident occurred around 3.30 am on National Highway 305 near Haripur when the occupants were returning home after attending a marriage ceremony in Kumarsain.
The accident occurred when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge into a deep gorge. Four people died on the spot, police said.
A police team reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and rescued the injured person and recovered the bodies.
The injured was taken to Mahatma Gandhi Medical Services Complex, Khaneri, in Rampur Bushahr, where he is undergoing treatment.
Police said a case has been registered and further investigation is underway. PTI COR MDO
