New Delhi, Nov 1 The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will hold a ‘Nav Sankalp Mahasabha’ in Varanasi on November 5, with party president and Union Minister Chirag Paswan attending the event as the chief guest.

The announcement was made following a review meeting held by the party in Varanasi on Sunday to assess preparations for the rally.

The meeting was chaired by party’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge and Jamui MP Arun Bharti, who reviewed the arrangements and gave suggestions to office-bearers and workers to ensure the success of the event.

The rally will be held at Jagatpur Inter College, where Paswan will interact directly with people and outline the party’s objectives and the broad contours of its proposed manifesto for Uttar Pradesh, the party said in a statement.

The party said it had mobilised public support in Bihar through similar ‘Nav Sankalp Mahasabhas’, following which it contested 29 seats in the assembly elections and won 19.

It is now seeking to replicate the model in Uttar Pradesh.

“Nav Sankalp Mahasabha marks the beginning of a new chapter for the party in Uttar Pradesh. Chirag ji’s message from the land of Banaras will reach every village and section of society in the state,” Bharti said.
