New Delhi, Oct 21 AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday welcomed the special executive magistrate (SEM)’s order releasing CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka from judicial custody and said the entire nation stands with them.
Das and Ranka were released after the expiry of judicial custody in connection with the October 14 protest at Jantar Mantar.
“Heartiest congratulations to Ashutosh and Saurav on receiving bail. Keep up the good fight for the country just like this. The entire nation stands with you,” Kejriwal said in a post on X in Hindi.
Das and Ranka were produced before the SEM, where their sureties were also submitted during the proceedings.
The two leaders were initially remanded to five days of judicial custody on October 14 after being detained for allegedly entering the denotified protest site of Jantar Mantar and violating peace bonds.
