Eluru, Sep 15: Andhra Pradesh political circles were plunged into grief on Tuesday following the sudden demise of former minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas(56), popularly known as Alla Nani. He passed away after suffering a heart attack.
Alla Nani was a prominent political leader from Eluru and had served as a minister in the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government. His sudden death has shocked party leaders, political colleagues and supporters across the state.
Alla Nani was elected as an MLA from the Eluru Assembly constituency three times. He first entered the Assembly in 2004, winning the Eluru seat. He subsequently won the constituency on two more occasions, establishing himself as a prominent political leader in the region.
During the YSRCP government, Alla Nani held key responsibilities. He served as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and also handled the Health and Medical Education portfolio.
