Amaravati, Aug 3: The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday revoked the suspension of two senior IPS officers, Kanthi Rana Tata and Vishal Gunni, with immediate effect.
Kanthi Rana Tata and Gunni were suspended following allegations by a Mumbai-based model that she was unlawfully arrested and harassed during the previous YSRCP government.
“In the circumstances reported by the Director General of Police (HoPF), Andhra Pradesh, in the letter 10th read above, the Government, after careful examination of the matter, has decided to revoke the suspension of Sri Kanthi Rana Tata, IPS (RR:2004),” Chief Secretary Sai Prasad said in a Government Order.
Former AP Intelligence chief and senior IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu, who was also facing allegations in the case, retired from service last month.
