Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav on Tuesday said that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the period for filing claims and objections under the SIR of the Electoral Roll until September 10 in all assembly constituencies of the state.
As per the original schedule, the period for filing claims and objections was July 31st, which is now extended to Sep 10th. Likewise, the notice phase/disposal of claims and objections was extended from July 31st to Oct 10th.
Further, the Election Commission has also extended the date of final publication of the Electoral Roll to October 9, 2026.
