Dehradun, Nov 2 Every family in Uttarakhand will now get a unique ‘Devbhoomi Parivar ID’ as part of an initiative to create an integrated digital database of families in the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the ‘Devbhoomi Parivar Portal’ on Monday and unveiled the ‘Viksit Uttarakhand Vision-2047’ at the ‘Mukhya Sevak Sadan’ located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.
Through this portal, information regarding families and their members will be accessible in a single location, and it will facilitate the identification of eligible beneficiaries for government schemes, improve coordination among various departments, and ensure the effective implementation of these schemes.
Upon registration on the portal, each family will be assigned a unique ‘Devbhoomi Parivar ID’.
Officials said that this will spare citizens the inconvenience of repeatedly submitting documents or making multiple visits to various government departments.
Dhami mentioned that both these initiatives would play a crucial role in strengthening good governance in the state, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach those who are eligible, and providing a clear direction for Uttarakhand’s long-term development.
“Citizens are also frequently required to submit the same documents repeatedly and visit multiple government departments for the same purpose. Through the ‘Devbhoomi Parivar Portal,’ efforts are being made to mitigate these challenges and make government services simpler, more transparent, and citizen-centric,” added the chief minister.
Principal Secretary (Planning) R Meenakshi Sundaram explained that the portal will enable the monitoring of schemes, the assessment of beneficiaries’ needs, and better planning for the allocation of budgets and government resources.
To ensure its effective operation, the establishment of a ‘Devbhoomi Parivar Authority’ at the state level and the appointment of a ‘District Devbhoomi Parivar Officer’ at the district level have been proposed.
Further, providing details on the ‘Viksit Uttarakhand Vision-2047 ‘, Sundaram noted that it outlines long-term goals across various sectors, tracked through approximately 440 indicators.
“The vision sets a target to grow the state’s economy to approximately Rs 28 lakh crore and increase the per capita income to around Rs 20 lakh by the year 2047. Furthermore, it aims to reduce the unemployment rate to 3.5 per cent and multidimensional poverty to 0.61 per cent,” he said.
