Chennai, Oct 29 DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin on Thursday called on former minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi at the Puzhal Central Prison here.
This marks the second meeting between the two leaders at the prison facility since the former minister was remanded in custody.
Poyyamozhi is in judicial custody due to his alleged involvement in a Rs 100-crore private school approval scam.
Udhayanidhi interacted with his close political aide and enquired about his health and well-being during the brief visit.
Poyyamozhi previously held the School Education portfolio during the DMK regime.
Investigators claim an unregistered association collected massive sums from at least 177 private school managements. In exchange, the schools were promised essential government clearances, including permanent recognition, school upgrades, and building plan approvals.
