Ranchi, Oct 30 An employee of a hotel in Jharkhand’s Ranchi was found dead in a village in the district on Friday, a senior police officer said.
The deceased has been identified as Baneshwar Gorai, a resident of Purulia district in West Bengal.
His body was found near Karkatta village within Pithoria police station limits, Ranchi Rural SP Gaurav Goswami told PTI.
“Prima facie, it appears that some miscreants attacked Gorai with a sharp-edged weapon, while he was going to his in-law’s house in Bodeya. An investigation has been initiated. The culprits will soon be apprehended,” Goswami said.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination to RIMS, police said.
