Bilaspur (HP), Oct 28 A private school teacher died after falling ill while exercising at a gym in the Ghumarwin area here on Wednesday morning, police said.
He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
Preliminary assessments suggest a heart attack may have caused the death.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Vishal Kaundal, a resident of Jolpalakhi village. His sudden passing has cast a pall of gloom over the area.
According to reports, Kaundal had gone to the gym on Wednesday morning, as was his routine. While exercising, his condition suddenly deteriorated.
Those present at the gym assisted him and transported him to the hospital for medical attention. However, upon arrival, doctors declared him dead.
Initial findings point to a possible heart attack, though the exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed.
Kaundal worked as a teacher at a private school. News of his sudden demise has left his family, acquaintances, and the local community in shock and grief.
Further investigations into the cause of death are underway, police said.
