Una (HP), Oct 28 Himachal Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Wednesday provided Rs 1 lakh in financial aid to a man in Una district who lost his arm and some fingers after coming into contact with high-voltage power lines passing over his home.
Vivek Kumar, a resident of Ispur village in the Haroli assembly constituency, had sustained severe injuries, with doctors having to amputate one of his arms and fingers on the other hand. Taking note of the severity of his injuries, Agnihotri also directed the Electricity Department to provide Rs 4 lakh compensation to Vivek.
Agnihotri assured the family that every possible support would be extended for Vivek’s treatment and ongoing care.
