Thane, Oct 27 The first phase of Mumbai Metro Line 4, stretching from Gaimukh to Cadbury Junction in Thane city, will begin operations from December, Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik said on Tuesday.
It will ease the heavy traffic congestion on Ghodbunder Road, he said after inspecting the route on Monday.
Metro Line 4 and 4A cover a total length of 35.20 km connecting Mumbai and Thane.
