Jaipur, Oct 30 Four trainee constables of the Rajasthan Police have been dismissed from service for remaining absent from election duty despite instructions and staying away from work without authorisation, officials said on Friday.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal ordered strict action against the four personnel for indiscipline and negligence towards duty.
The dismissed trainee constables have been identified as Lokesh Kashyap, Vijay Singh, Mohari Lal and Bajrang Lal.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Anushtha Kalia issued the dismissal orders, officials said.
In a statement, Mittal said discipline was the highest priority in the police force and failure to report for an important assignment such as election duty amounted to serious indiscipline.
He said unauthorised absence of personnel adversely affected both duty arrangements and discipline within the police force.
