Jaipur, Oct 28 Four accused, including a government school physical training instructor, surrendered before a court here in connection with an alleged fake sports certificate racket linked to the teacher recruitment examination, 2022, police said on Wednesday.

They surrendered on October 26 and were produced before the court on Wednesday after two days in police custody.

Additional Director General of Police (SOG) Vishal Bansal identified the accused as Ramchandra Beniwal, 41, physical training instructor at a government school in Beawar district, Shrimati Devi, 33, of Barmer, Dholaram, 26, of Jalore and Vikas Kumar, 26, of Balotra.

According to the Special Operations Group (SOG), several candidates allegedly obtained forged national-level taekwondo certificates through middlemen to secure government teaching jobs under the two per cent sports quota in Rajasthan Grade III Teacher Recruitment Examination, 2022.

Of the candidates selected in the 2022 recruitment, 38 had submitted taekwondo certificates, police said.

Investigators found that a fake email account purportedly belonging to the Taekwondo Federation of India was used to send fraudulent certificate verification reports to the Directorate of Elementary Education in Bikaner.

Bansal said Beniwal allegedly collected Rs 5 lakh each from six candidates to arrange backdated certificates.

Another accused, Satish Dool of Haryana, allegedly charged Rs 4 lakh each from Vikas Kumar, Dholaram and Devi for similar certificates.

Police said the investigation is underway.
