Guwahati, Oct 30 Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that the state is not a “breeding ground” for infiltrators, and said 23 more illegal migrants were sent back to their countries.
All infiltrators will be weeded out to protect the interests of the state, he said.
“To the 23 illegal immigrants we expelled last night- Assam is not your breeding ground,” Sarma said in a social media post on Thursday night.
“We will be ruthless in our pursuit to protect the interests of Assam and weed out every infiltrator from our state,” he added.
Sarma did not mention from which district the infiltrators were sent back.
