Jaipur, Oct 27 Sales of tablets, laptops and wearable devices on Amazon surged during its Great Indian Festival 2026 in Rajasthan, with demand for large home appliances also registering a sharp rise in Jaipur and Jodhpur, the e-commerce company said on Tuesday.
According to data released by Amazon, sales of tablets rose ninefold, laptops sevenfold and wearable devices fourfold across Rajasthan compared to normal business days.
Sales of large appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners, increased 11 times in Jaipur and Jodhpur during the festive shopping period, the company said.
Home entertainment products also recorded strong demand across the state, with sales rising 13 times from regular business days.
Amazon said the festive season witnessed increased spending on both premium products and affordable items, with customers buying electronics, fashion, beauty products, household essentials and groceries.
In Jaipur and Jodhpur, sales of everyday essentials doubled, while purchases through Amazon Bazaar, the company’s platform for affordable products, increased threefold.
The e-commerce giant said demand for products priced below Rs 500 was particularly strong in the two cities.
Fashion and personal care products also witnessed higher sales, with analogue watches, casual shoes and running shoes emerging as popular choices in Jaipur and Jodhpur.
Sales of formal shoes in Jaipur and body care products in Jodhpur rose fivefold compared to normal business days.
Men’s jeans also recorded a fivefold increase in Jodhpur, while demand for face care, sun care, lip care and scalp treatment products increased across Rajasthan.
In the grocery and household essentials categories, edible oil sales rose threefold in Jaipur and fourfold in Jodhpur. Sales of laundry liquids also increased threefold and fourfold, respectively, in both cities.
Amazon said more than 1.6 lakh sellers from Rajasthan were associated with its platform, offering products across categories such as home furnishings, apparel, furniture, kitchenware and groceries.
