Jammu, Oct 31 A drug peddler was detained on Saturday under the stringent Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act here, police said.
Rajat Singh Bhau, a resident of Chak Malal village of Khour, is involved in multiple cases, a police official said.
He said Bhau’s detention was carried out by Akhnoor police station in compliance with the detention order issued under PIT-NDPS by the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
After completion of all requisite legal formalities, the detenue was lodged in District Jail, Udhampur, in accordance with the law, the officer said.
