New Delhi, Oct 30 A 23-year-old woman, who allegedly suffered severe burn injuries after coming in contact with a high-tension electricity wire while cleaning her rooftop in west Delhi’s Vikas Vihar, died after 13 days of treatment, police said.
Urmila died late Thursday night at the burn ward of Safdarjung Hospital, where she was undergoing treatment since the incident occurred on October 17.
According to information, the incident occurred when she was cleaning the rooftop of her house in Shiv Vihar under the Ranhola police station area and accidentally came in contact with an overhead high-tension wire.
The contact triggered a loud explosion, leaving her severely burnt. She was initially taken to a nearby hospital before being referred to Safdarjung Hospital due to her critical condition.
