New Delhi, Oct 27 : Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli has congratulated England football captain Harry Kane on winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or award. Kohli praised Kane’s resilience, hard work and honesty, saying the footballer deserved every bit of the honour.
Kohli shared his congratulatory message on social media platform X on Tuesday. Both sports stars endorse the same sports apparel brand.
“Harry, my friend, you deserve every bit of this award for your resilience, hard work and honesty with which you’ve carried yourself through all these years playing football at the top. Really happy for you,” Kohli wrote.
He also wished Kane and his family well, adding that they must be proud of his achievements and journey in football.

The 33-year-old Harry Kane has enjoyed an impressive season, delivering strong performances for both his club and country. He scored 73 goals across club and international competitions, establishing himself as one of the leading strikers in world football.
Kane also played a key role in Bayern Munich’s successful campaign, helping the German club win both the Bundesliga title and the German Cup.
His Ballon d’Or victory marks a significant achievement for English football. He became the first English player in more than two decades to receive the award, following Michael Owen, who won it in 2001.
