Latur, Oct 24 Two persons were booked for allegedly abusing officials and employees of Ahmedpur Municipal Council and vandalising property over irregular water supply, a police official said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Thursday, the Ahmedpur police station official said.
“As per complainant Ashok Vaijnath Swami (57), deputy chief officer of Ahmedpur Municipal Council, Santosh Shep and Manoj Kamble abused him and other staffers over delay in water supply. They also damaged an office chair and disrupted official work,” he said.
Shep and Kamble have been booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, mischief causing property damage, criminal intimidation and other offences, the official said.
