Paris, Oct 24 (AP) Paris police estimated that 110,000 people protested Saturday in the French capital in a march that is ending with police firing tear gas and jets of water cannon.
The turnout for the protest for more school funding and against soaring living costs was a show of strength against the government of President Emmanuel Macron.
Protesters mobilized despite official restrictions that limited them to a route away from the city center and rain that dampened the protest at the end.
