Mangaluru (Karnataka), Oct 23 (PTI) At least 13 school students and a bus driver sustained minor injuries after a tourist vehicle rammed into their bus from behind on Friday evening, police said.
The accident occurred near Kolnad in Mulki located in Mangaluru taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, they said.
Police said the tourist mini-bus travelling from Mulki toward Mangaluru allegedly crashed into the parked school bus. The impact forced it off the road and into a roadside drain.
According to police, 13 students aboard the vehicle at the time of the accident suffered minor injuries. The injured students and the driver were transferred to a hospital in Mukka, where they received medical treatment. Hospital authorities reported that all victims are in stable condition.
Police alleged that the minibus driver Devaraj drove recklessly and negligently.
The Traffic North Police Station registered a case in connection with the accident.
