Jammu, Oct 27 Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday reaffirmed its support for the Omar Abdullah government and accused the BJP of trying to destabilise the elected coalition through backdoor manoeuvres.
PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma congratulated the newly inducted ministers, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Mir Saifullah, Shameema Firdous, and Altaf Ahmad Wani (Kalloo), who were administered the oath of office by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan earlier today.
“Congratulations to all the newly appointed ministers in the Abdullah government today. Congress solidly stands with the coalition to check BJP’s attempts to destabilise the elected government through backdoor attempts,” Sharma said in a post on X.
The Congress, an ally of the government, has distanced itself from the cabinet and maintained its stance of not joining the council of ministers until statehood is restored.
