Bhubaneswar, Oct 21 Durga Puja committees in Bhubaneswar were warned of strict action if high-decibel ‘DJ music’ was played during immersion processions, police said on Wednesday.
Bhubaneswar DCP Saravana Vivek M said ‘DJ music’ was banned during the processions, and any committee found violating the order will face a criminal case.
“Committees are requested to use only traditional musical instruments during the processions. Police personnel will be deployed at the starting points to ensure compliance with the ban,” he said.
The DCP said six temporary ponds have been created at different locations for the immersion of Durga idols.
“A total of 48 platoons of police personnel will be deployed for the immersion,” he said.
