Kolkata, Oct 30 Kilburn Engineering Ltd on Friday said its board has approved a capital investment of up to Rs 25 crore to expand the precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities of its subsidiary, Monga Strayfield, at its Pune facility.
The investment is aimed at substantially enhancing the capacity to make enclosures, cabinets and assemblies for data centre infrastructure, transformers and critical power applications, the company said in a statement.
The expansion will be implemented progressively over the next six to nine months, with commissioning and utilisation aligned to operational readiness and customer requirements, it said.
The group’s precision engineering business is expected to generate revenue of around Rs 50-60 crore in the 2026-27 fiscal, the company said.
Based on the envisaged product mix, utilisation levels and a combination of in-house manufacturing and selective outsourcing, the expanded operations have the potential to support annual revenue of about Rs 150 crore at scale, it said.
The capacity expansion is intended to strengthen Monga Strayfield’s ability to serve the growing requirements of Vertiv and its other customers in India, and to pursue opportunities in international markets for precision-engineered enclosures, cabinets and assemblies, it added.
