New Delhi, Oct 29 Singers Arijit Singh and Karan Aujla are set to headline the inaugural edition of the two-day music festival HOME in Goa in December, the organisers said on Thursday.
Organised by live entertainment company Team Innovation, the festival will be held on December 29 and 30 at Vagator, with a lineup featuring more than 30 Indian artists across genres.
The organisers said the festival, backed by Goa Tourism and supported by the state government, aims to revive music tourism in Goa, which they claim has not hosted a major music festival in two years.
Singh, known for popular songs such as “Tum Hi Ho”, “Kesariya”, “Apna Bana Le” and “Chaleya”, will return to Goa after a long gap.
Aujla, whose hits include “Tauba Tauba”, “Softly”, “Winning Speech” and “Admiring You”, will perform in Goa for the first time at a public ticketed concert.
“Music has its own way of bringing people together and it’s always special to be part of an event that celebrates music in such a way. Looking forward to seeing you all in Goa,” Singh said in a statement.
Aujla said it was exciting to headline a festival that brings Indian music to the forefront.
“We are currently witnessing a colossal shift in how the world perceives music coming out of India, and headlining a stage as ambitious as ‘HOME’ is exciting! I have a great run with Team Innovation and I’m looking forward to performing at their debut music festival in Goa,” he said.
The lineup includes Jasleen Royal, DJ Chetas and KING, alongside independent and electronic music acts such as Yung Raja, Jasmin Walia, Lijo, Malavika Manoj, Mayur Jumani Live and Techtronix, among others.
The festival’s organisers said its main stage would feature a design by Aaquib Wani Design, with experiential installations and large-scale production.
“For decades, India looked outward, waiting for international franchises and global star power to define the premium festival experience. ‘HOME’ aspires to completely rewrite that narrative with an uncompromising statement: an all-Indian headline bill,” Mohit Bijlani, founder of Team Innovation, said.
Tickets will be available through the thumpN platform, with an HSBC Visa presale beginning on October 30 and general sales opening on November 1.
