Lucknow, Oct 15 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate a two-day regional workshop of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) here on October 23, with representatives from eight states and four Union Territories participating, a statement said on Thursday.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Jitendra Singh will also attend the ‘Sadhana Shrankhla-2026’ workshop, scheduled for October 23 and 24.
The workshop aims to develop government training institutions into modern, technology-enabled and competency-based capacity-building centres under Mission Karmayogi, with a focus on improving the efficiency of government officials and making administration more citizen-centric.
Representatives from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand will participate in the workshop.
Officials from the Union Territories of Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh will also attend.
Senior administrative officers, heads of training institutions, faculty members, subject experts and industry representatives will deliberate on the challenges and requirements of training institutions across different regions, the statement said.
The discussions will focus on four key areas — institutional governance and leadership, operational efficiency and collaboration among training institutions, faculty and institutional competencies, and digital transformation. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in training will also receive special attention.
The workshop will help participating states and Union Territories identify priority reforms and prepare practical roadmaps for their implementation, the statement said.
The Unified New-Age National Training Initiatives (UNNATI) portal, launched during Sadhana Week-2026, will be used to facilitate the initiative. The portal connects more than 700 training institutions on a common platform to promote resource sharing, institutional collaboration and data-driven improvements in performance.
Sadhana Shrankhla-2026 comprises four regional workshops. The series began with a workshop in Vijayawada on September 29-30, while the northeastern regional workshop was held in Guwahati on October 9.
The findings from the Lucknow workshop, along with those from other regional meetings, will contribute to the development of a Training Institute Transformation Framework, the statement said.
