Chennai, Oct 16 DMK president M K Stalin on Friday said the union government must release CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke and AISA chief Neha Bora immediately and stop suppressing peaceful protests.

The former chief minister, in a social media post, demanded to know the whereabouts of Dipke and Bora.

“Detaining them without disclosing their whereabouts is blatantly illegal and deeply inhumane. The union government must release them immediately and stop suppressing peaceful protests. Every attempt to crush the movement will only make it stronger,” he said.

Reiterating that “CEC Gyanesh Kumar must go,” the Dravidian party chief claimed that the Central government led by the BJP had no other option.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke and AISA chief Neha Bora were preventively detained by Delhi Police on Friday while on their way to participate in the ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ protests, with Dipke headed to Connaught Place and Bora to Mandi House.
