Patna, Oct 19 Bhojpuri actors-turned-politicians Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan on Monday voiced concern over the firing incident in Mumbai in which Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff sustained injuries.
The BJP MPs, however, expressed confidence that the guilty will face justice.
Tiwari, who hails from Bihar but represents North East Delhi in the Lok Sabha, told reporters here, “The attack on Tiger Shroff is a matter of grave concern.”
The former Delhi BJP president also voiced disapproval of the use of the honorific “sahib” for Lawrence Bishnoi by a police officer who was asked about speculations of the jailed gangster’s involvement in the attack.
“This is not appropriate. Such words must not be used for a person who is suspected of involvement in a grave offence. Criminals must be given the treatment they deserve,” Tiwari said.
Earlier, Ravi Kishan, who is the MP from Gorakhpur in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, was asked about the incident upon arrival at the airport here.
He replied, “It is a very disturbing incident. I pray for the speedy recovery of Tiger Shroff, who is a sweet person. The guilty will not be spared.”
Three people who allegedly fired at Shroff were nabbed on Monday from a train at Rajasthan’s Kota station following a swift 15-minute operation while they were possibly on their way to Nepal from Mumbai.
The three, including Ritik alias Roshan from Bihar’s Begusarai and Rehan from Haryana’s Sonipat, were picked up from the general coach of the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express when it halted in Kota at 10.17 am, Kota Superintendent of Police (SP) Tejaswani Gautam said.
