Gwalior, Oct 19 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Monday visited Jayarogya Hospital in Gwalior where devotees seriously injured in a truck accident are undergoing treatment and enquired about their health.

Yadav enquired about their health and the facilities they were receiving. He directed doctors and officials to provide quality and free treatment to all the injured.

He also instructed them to ensure no negligence in treatment and to make necessary arrangements for proper treatment and care of the patients.

At least 15 people were killed and more than 25 injured when a speeding truck ploughed into devotees outside the 125-year-old Sheetla Mata temple around 1.30 am on Sunday.

“We have come here to meet the injured individuals. We are ready to provide them with the best possible treatment,” Yadav told reporters after meeting the patients.

He reiterated that action will be taken against those responsible for the road accident.

“We (the government) have ordered an investigation into the incident. It is the government’s responsibility to care for every individual. The government stands with all people,” the Chief Minister said.

Yadav said providing the best possible medical care to the injured is the top priority of the government, adding that air ambulances will be arranged if necessary.

Citing doctors, he said the condition of most of the injured persons is improving. “One or two critical patients are being closely monitored,” Yadav added.
