Kolkata, Oct 20 A fire broke out at a market in the Bagha Jatin area here on Monday morning, officials said.
There was no report of any death or injury in the incident, they said.
Altogether, 15 fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames, first spotted around 4.30 am, a fire brigade official said
“The blaze was brought under control in less than an hour. There was no report of casualties,” he said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but a preliminary investigation suggested that it was due to a short circuit, another official said.
