Faridabad, Oct 14 A local court here has convicted a man of raping his minor daughter and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 80,000 on the convict, police said.
According to the police, the case was registered at Ballabgarh Women’s Police Station on September 16, 2022, and the accused was arrested on the same day.
During the investigation, the police collected the relevant evidence and presented the case in court. During the hearing, 24 witnesses testified on behalf of the prosecution.
Based on the evidence presented and the statements of witnesses, the court of additional sessions judge Abhishek Phutela convicted the accused and sentenced him to rigorous imprisonment and imposed the fine, they added.
