Bhopal, Oct 25 At least seven empty buses were damaged in a fire at the Inter-State Bus Terminal in Bhopal on Sunday evening, an official said.

No one was wounded in the blaze, which was put out in an hour, the official said.

The fire, which initially broke out in one bus, spread to others parked nearby, including those operated by Verma Travels, Bhopal Municipal Corporation Fire Officer Sourabh Patel told PTI from the spot.

Of the seven, four buses were completely gutted, he added.

Patel said they received a distress call at 7.18 pm. He said more than eight fire tenders and four water bowsers fought the blaze at the busy terminal.

A short circuit in a bus might have triggered the fire, he said. Police are investigating the cause of the fire, an official said.
