Shillong, Oct 22 Two bike-borne men hurled petrol bombs at a building housing the Enforcement Directorate office here in the early hours of Thursday, in a second attack on government establishments in two days, police said.
The attack did not lead to any structural damage to the building in the Langkyrding area, East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said.
“The guard inside the building was unaware of the attack until morning. We are scanning CCTV footage to identify the suspects. A case is being registered, and patrolling has been intensified in the area,” the officer said.
A similar attack was reported at the office of the health department in the Laitumkhrah area on Wednesday morning.
