Jaipur, Oct 21 Two men died of electrocution, while several others suffered burn injuries after a tent came into contact with a live overhead electric wire during a religious programme in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district on Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred in the Peepalkhunt area, where a tent had been erected for the programme.
According to the police control room, strong winds caused the tent to sway and come into contact with a live overhead electric wire, causing electric current to flow through its metal poles.
