Mumbai, Oct 13 Suburban local train services on Central Railway’s Harbour line were disrupted on Tuesday evening following an overhead equipment (OHE) fault between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Wadala, causing severe inconvenience to peak-hour commuters, officials said.
The technical snag on the down Harbour line resulted in several trains being detained, stranding passengers and disrupting services originating from CSMT towards both Panvel and Goregaon.
According to Central Railway officials, efforts were underway to restore the overhead equipment and normalise services.
The Harbour line serves as a crucial transit link connecting Navi Mumbai and the western suburbs with south Mumbai.
