Dehradun, Oct 14 Ahead of the Uttarakhand 2027 polls, BJP’s National General secretary B L Santhosh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday provided strategic and organisational guidance to the newly appointed assembly full-time party workers and in-charges.
During a two-day workshop organised in Kashipur on Tuesday and Wednesday, speakers conducted training on organisational, political, and strategic matters as well as election structures.
In his address, Santhosh emphasised strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level and making party workers more active than ever for the elections.
“The election is not merely about winning but about securing a mandate to continue the state’s development journey. All-round development the state is witnessing today must not be allowed to stall. To ensure this, regaining the public’s trust is essential, a task in which all the Vistaraks (booth-level full time workers) would play a crucial role,” he said.
He instructed all ‘Vistaraks’ to work based on the mantra of booth empowerment.
Addressing the concluding session, Dhami highlighted the significant responsibility given to the assembly in-charges and Vistaraks in the assembly elections.
“You all must work to strengthen the organisation down to the booth level, establish better coordination among party workers, enhance public outreach, and — with the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections in mind — actively implement the organisational action plan at the grassroots level,” Dhami said.
He noted that social media has become a vital medium for public communication today. “Through this platform, accurate information regarding government schemes, development projects, and decisions of public interest should be conveyed to the people. It is essential to counter any misleading information using facts, evidence, and restrained language,” he said.
During the various sessions, speakers also explained that primary collective effort will involve establishing better coordination among party workers.
