Malda (WB), Oct 22 Police on Thursday arrested one person in connection with the killing of a BJP functionary in West Bengal’s Malda district, officials said.
He has been identified as Ranjan Ghosh, one of the two persons named in an FIR lodged in connection with the murder of Samir Ghosh, police said.
The second accused, identified as Shatru Ghosh, is absconding, an officer added.
Police have not officially disclosed the political affiliation of the arrested person.
