Kolkata, Oct 19 Kolkata Metro services on the North-South corridor were disrupted on Monday evening due to a technical glitch, officials said.
The disruption came at a time when large numbers of people use the Metro to visit Durga Puja pandals across the city on Maha Ashtami.
The technical problem occurred at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station in Tollygunge around 5.31 pm, following which truncated services were run in both directions between Maidan and Dakshineswar stations, they said.
Metro officials said their personnel were working to resolve the technical issue at the earliest.
