Mysuru (Karnataka), Oct 19 The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team enthralled a massive crowd with a 20-minute aerial display here on Monday as part of the Mysuru Dasara celebrations.
The team performed around 18 manoeuvres, with the aircraft soaring through the skies and entertaining spectators at the Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap here.
The display came a day after the team could not showcase its full aerial routine and was cut short due to adverse weather conditions.
Speaking to reporters after the show, one of the pilots said the weather was much better on Monday, allowing the team to perform the planned display despite some cloud cover.
“We carried out almost 18 manoeuvres. We were able to carry out the profile as we planned, though there was some clouding,” he said.
Describing the audience as wonderful, the pilot thanked the spectators for their enthusiastic response and wished them a happy Dussehra.
The team is known for its precision flying, synchronised formations and breathtaking aerial manoeuvres that bring aircraft within metres of one another.
