Jaipur, Oct 19 BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain on Monday described protesters associated with the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) as “cockroaches” and accused them of acting at the behest of foreign forces.
Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at the Ajmer Dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Hussain also accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of attempting to discredit Indian democracy.
“They are cockroaches. The government accepted their demands once, and now they want the country to function according to their wishes every time,” Hussain said, referring to the protesters.
He alleged that the protesters were acting at the behest of foreign powers and staging demonstrations without a clear objective.
Targeting Gandhi, the BJP spokesperson accused him of maligning Indian democracy at the behest of foreign forces.
On Uttar Pradesh politics, Hussain said the Congress had won two seats in the previous election and would be fortunate to win even two seats again.
Asked about the reported firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, Hussain called for strict action against those responsible.
“The people behind such acts should be dealt with firmly. The Maharashtra government will not allow anyone to intimidate others in this manner,” he said.
On Bihar’s political situation, Hussain said the state was progressing on the path of development and praised Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary for his work.
After offering prayers at the Ajmer Dargah, Hussain said he shared a deep emotional connection with the shrine.
“I have a heartfelt attachment to this place. Whatever I have achieved, I have received from here. I came to offer prayers and seek peace and harmony for the entire country,” he said.
