Bokaro, Oct 17 (PTI Bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 21.4 lakh from an employee of a private company in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district on Saturday, a police officer said.
The incident happened near the Mansa Singh gate, within the limits of Marafari police station, while the employee was carrying the cash in a bag on a motorcycle.
“Two unarmed miscreants riding a motorcycle looted the bag containing Rs 21.40 lakh. Prima facie, it appears that the employee works for a company and was carrying the cash on a motorcycle,” Pawan Barnwal, DSP (Headquarters), told PTI.
Police stations across the district were alerted while CCTV footage was being analysed to identify the miscreants, he said.
