Thane, Oct 16 Shiv Sena (UBT) national spokesperson Anand Dubey on Friday joined the Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Addressing the gathering, Shinde said he had observed Dubey’s work for several years, adding that a party worker who had represented the organisation’s position at the national level had now joined the real Shiv Sena.
Dubey was familiar with Shiv Sena’s functioning and party leader Rahul Kanal had remained in regular contact with him, Shinde said.
Welcoming Dubey, the Deputy CM said that he had joined the right party.
“Shiv Sena is a party of workers. There is no owner here; everyone works as a party worker,” Shinde said.
Along with Dubey, others who joined Shinde’s outfit included Gulabchand Maurya, Sunil Chaubey, Brijesh Maurya, Dashrath Prajapati, Praveen Dubey and Dhananjay Gupta.
Shinde said during his two-and-a-half-year tenure as Chief Minister, his government had implemented several welfare schemes and completed important infrastructure projects, taking Maharashtra forward on the path of development and progress.
He acknowledged the significant support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in these efforts.
