Bhubaneswar, Oct 18 The BJD on Sunday lodged a police complaint at Capital Police Station in Bhubaneswar seeking action over the alleged circulation of AI-generated deepfake videos and voice-cloned content targeting party leader Sujata Rout Karthikeyan.
BJD leader Amrita Mishra filed the complaint, seeking legal action against unidentified social media users allegedly responsible for circulating the videos.
In the complaint, the party alleged that the individuals used artificial intelligence and voice-cloning technology to create and circulate fabricated content, including a video purportedly showing Karthikeyan threatening the principal of Kendrapara Autonomous College in connection with student elections.
The video was uploaded on different social media platforms, she said.
The BJD demanded the immediate identification of those operating the accounts and appropriate legal action against all persons found involved.
