Guwahati, Oct 17 Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said 30 infiltrators have been prevented by police from entering the country.
He also said security forces were on alert on all occasions.
“Mahishasur Mardini at the borders,” Sarma said in a social media post, in reference to the ongoing Durga Puja festival.
“With the blessings of Maa Durga, 30 illegal infiltrators have been identified by @assampolice and prevented from entering Bharat with their nefarious intentions,” he said.
The chief minister added, “Each day, each occasion, we remain alert on our borders.”
He, however, did not specify when or where the infiltration bid was foiled.
